Shots don’t have to feel quite so scary! 💉

At Medical Center Pediatrics, we use a variety of tools to help make vaccinations a little more comfortable for our young patients. One of these tools is the ShotBlocker!

This small, plastic tool uses gentle pressure and tiny bumps against the skin near the injection site to provide competing sensory signals that can help reduce the sensation of the needle poke. It’s a simple, drug-free tool that can make a big difference for kids who feel nervous about shots. ❤️

Because keeping kids healthy is important and helping them feel comfortable along the way matters, too! 😀

Because e-bikes can reach higher speeds than traditional bicycles, crashes can result in more severe injuries including: injuries to the head, face, and internal organs. Pediatric e-bike injuries are also more likely to require hospitalization, ICU care, or surgery. Parents, always make safety the first priority with your children! Talk about helmet use with them and decide if they’re of an appropriate age to use e-bikes.* 🚲
